Moon Houston, Au.D.

Dr. H.A. Moon Houston (most commonly known as Dr. Moon) is originally from Austin, Texas, and came to Buffalo to complete the clinical externship portion of her doctorate in audiology…and for the snow. She received her Bachelor of Science from the University of Houston, majoring in communication sciences and disorders, with a double minor in linguistics and kinesiology. At the University of Houston, Dr. Moon balanced her rigorous coursework along with being a Division 1 pole vaulter for two years. After taking a semester to study abroad in Bangkok, Thailand, she returned to the University of Houston to finish her studies while she took on the new challenge of being a college cheerleader.

Upon graduating from the University of Houston with her B.S., Dr. Moon attended Indiana University where she earned her Doctorate of Audiology degree. She began working at HES as a doctoral resident working in all four HES office locations as well as the ENT department at Buffalo Medical Group. She now practices out of the Orchard Park office. Dr. Moon is a certified Lyric provider and the HES On-Call Audiologist.

In her free time, she likes to read, watch anime, rock climb, and play video games. And when she has enough time, she likes to travel abroad. She is proud of her family heritage and takes her name, Moon, from her late grandmother, who was a native of Seoul, Korea.
