Dr. Anne Orsene is the Executive Director of Hearing Evaluation Services and has been with the organization since 2000. She has been practicing audiology and caring for her patients in Western New York since 1991. Along with her administrative responsibilities, Dr. Orsene sees patients one day per week out of our Wehrle Drive location.
Dr. Anne Orsene is committed to ensuring that all patients receive the best possible outcome with hearing devices. She was appointed by Governor Andrew Cuomo to the New York State Hearing Aid Dispensing Advisory Board in 2012. This board protects consumers who purchase hearing aids and strives to ensure appropriate hearing aid dispensing practices throughout New York state.
Dr. Anne Orsene is also committed to helping patients meet their hearing needs regardless of their income level. In 2006, Dr. Orsene co-founded the Dr. Ann Stadelmaier Hearing Aid Fund to help individuals in financial need. Dr. Orsene is the proud Chairman of this fund that has allowed hundreds of individuals in our community hear better who would otherwise have gone without. This fund has been supported by 45 local Lions Clubs and continues to grow each year.
Dr. Anne Orsene is also committed to expanding the organization’s services to assist as many individuals with hearing loss, dizziness or tinnitus in WNY as possible. In 2010, Dr. Anne Orsene was given the “Award for Excellence” from the Amherst Chamber of Commerce at their Small Business Awards Ceremony. In 2011, she accepted the Robert J. Uplinger Distinguished Service Award. This award was given to HES in appreciation of the organization founding of the Dr. Ann Stadelmaier Hearing Aid Fund. In 2012, she was selected by the Niagara Chapter of the National Association of Women Business Owners as a Women In Influence honoree. In 2013, Dr. Anne Orsene was also honored by Business First as a Women of Influence for non-profit leadership in the Buffalo community. Dr. Orsene is an Academy Scholar by the American Academy of Audiologists. She is also proud that Hearing Evaluation Services was named one of the Best Places to Work in Western New York by Buffalo Business First in 2018 and 2019. In July 2019 Dr. Orsene was named Who’s Who in Healthcare by Buffalo Business First.
As well as being a seasoned speaker, Dr. Anne Orsene has trained a large number of masters and doctoral level audiology students throughout WNY and is an Adjunct Clinical Instructor for the University at Buffalo.
Dr. Orsene is proud to have grown up in Seneca Falls, N.Y., the birthplace of women’s rights. She and her husband recently moved to East Aurora and Dr. Orsene is thrilled to be spending her time birding in the beautiful parks in the area and spending time with her four sons.
