Anne P. Orsene, Au.D.
Executive Director
Dr. Anne Orsene joined Hearing Evaluation Services in 2000 and has served as Executive Director and Board Member since 2006.
Dr. Orsene is committed to ensuring that all patients receive the best possible outcome with hearing devices and was appointed and served on the New York State Hearing Aid Dispensing Advisory Board from 2012 to 2022. This board protects consumers who purchase hearing aids and strives to ensure appropriate hearing aid dispensing practices throughout New York state.
Dr. Orsene is passionate about helping patients meet their hearing needs regardless of their income level. In 2006, she co-founded the Dr. Ann Stadelmaier Hearing Aid Fund to help individuals in financial need obtain hearing help. She serves as the Chairman of this fund, which has helped over 500 members of our local community to hear better. The fund has been supported by 46 local Lions Clubs and continues to grow each year.
In 2010, Dr. Orsene received the “Award for Excellence” from the Amherst Chamber of Commerce at their Small Business Awards Ceremony. In 2011, she accepted the Robert J. Uplinger Distinguished Service Award. This award was given to HES in appreciation of the organization’s founding of the Dr. Ann Stadelmaier Hearing Aid Fund. In 2012, she was selected by the Niagara Chapter of the National Association of Women Business Owners and was a recipient of the Women in Leadership Award. This award recognizes area businesswomen who have succeeded both in the business and charitable arenas and inspire others to follow in their path. In 2013, Dr. Orsene was also honored by Business First receiving the Women of Influence award for non-profit leadership in the Buffalo community. She has been repeatedly named an Academy Scholar by the American Academy of Audiology. Under her leadership, Hearing Evaluation Services was named one of the Best Places to Work in Western New York by Buffalo Business First in 2018 and 2019. In July 2019, Dr. Orsene was also named Who’s Who in Healthcare by Buffalo Business First.
In October 2022, Dr. Orsene was honored with the Visionary Award at the CQ Partners Conference in Phoenix, Arizona. The conference hosted leading Audiologists and Audiology practices from across the country.
Dr. Orsene has trained a large number of audiologists, doctoral-level audiology students, and residents throughout WNY and is an Adjunct Clinical Instructor for the University at Buffalo.
Dr. Orsene is proud to have grown up in Seneca Falls New York, the birthplace of women’s rights. She and her husband reside in the beautiful town of East Aurora and enjoy spending time with their four sons. She is a naturalist, avid birder, and bird photographer and is passionate about protecting our environment for future generations to enjoy as she has.
