Emalee Weiss, Au.D.
Doctor of Audiology
Dr. Emalee Weiss received her Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) degree from Gallaudet University in Washington, D.C. after completing her clinical residency year at Hearing Evaluation Services. Her undergraduate degrees in Psychology and Communication Disorder and Sciences were obtained at SUNY Fredonia. While in graduate school, Dr. Weiss worked in Gallaudet University’s Vestibular and Balance Lab studying the relationship of visual language use, balance function, and navigation abilities. She completed her capstone research project on preference for handedness on subjective visual vertical tilt deviation.
Dr. Weiss specializes in comprehensive vestibular (dizzy) diagnostic testing, including Auditory Evoked Potentials. She is also enjoys helping people with hearing and communication difficulties find the right solution for their personal needs and circumstances. Her training at Gallaudet University, the only university designed to be barrier-free for deaf and hard of hearing students, has given her a unique perspective on hearing loss and she is proficient in both clinical and conversational American Sign Language (ASL).
Dr. Weiss is a provider at our Tonawanda office.
Dr. Weiss is a native of Cheektowaga, NY where she currently resides with her husband and dog.
